Starting your study abroad journey is always exciting, especially when you’re moving into your new student accommodation. Getting to have your own space, decorating it how you want and having independence, is a wonderful part of studying abroad that you can look forward to.
However, studying abroad comes with its own challenges, and for many students, stepping into a new country for the first time can be overwhelming.
By the time you’ve survived a 10+ hour flight, made it through immigration, and finally reached your university city, it is already late at night and no doubt you’ll be exhausted. Dragging heavy suitcases to the accommodation, you finally open the door- only to find that there are no pillows or duvet. Supermarkets are already closed. You are jetlagged, exhausted, and your only thought is ‘I want to sleep.’
But don’t worry, you can avoid this! Here is everything you need before moving into your accommodation.
