It’s time to move into your new home!
Welcome to CODE Fairfax Street! Here are a few things you should know before and after your move-in 👇
🛬 Pre-Arrival Preparations
- Enter your arrival time
- Complete the Health and Safety module
- Confirm your room number (building, floor, and number)
- Bring these documents: passport, UK visa (if applicable), and university offer (digital copies are also acceptable)
- Log in to the CODE Student Portal and complete the To-Do List:
🚗 How to get to the property
If you’re arriving at London or Birmingham Airport, you can take a train to Coventry Station, followed by a short 5-minute taxi ride to CODE Fairfax Street.
If you have an airport pickup arranged, please ask your driver to drop you off directly at:

🏡 Check-in Procedures
1️⃣ Check in at the front office located on floor 1, this will approximate take 15-20 minutes if you have prepared everything above.
- It’s recommended to upload a photo and student ID card in advance on the student portal.
- Documents to present: Passport/visa page/student ID card or offer (screenshot of email is acceptable)
2️⃣ Receive keys and access card
3️⃣ Room Inspection
After check-in, inspect the room amenities and walls. Take photos of any scratches or stains. Submit the inventory form within 7 days.
🛒Don’t worry if you forget any essentials – there’s a Co-op convenience store right downstairs for easy shopping. Plus, our city centre location means plenty of other shops are just a short walk away! Check out this blog post for some of our top recommendations.
🌙 Arriving at night or at the weekend? You can still check in!
CODE offers 24-hour security, so even if you arrive outside of working hours, you can still access your room!

- Call the security number that you should have received in your welcome email, and they’ll help you access your room.
- Check in and receive your key at the front desk the next day. Our office is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5.30pm.
📱 Remember to get a UK SIM card or activate roaming in advance to facilitate contact with staff.
