CODE Community Support Group – Week 20 – Confidence

27 March 2021

“Confidence is the most beautiful thing you can possess.”

Our support groups are still here for you once a week, giving you the best support and advice possible.

Coventry – Wednesdays, 1pm – 3pm

Leicester – Thursdays, 2pm – 4pm

Recently, we’ve been focussing on student requests for our session content and this week we shone a light on confidence and self-esteem.

Confidence and high self-esteem are an important part of everyone’s lives, but it can be affected in many different ways and everyone is different. No matter what knock’s your confidence, it is important to remember that you have the right to feel good about yourself.

We tackled topics such as:

  • What is self-esteem?
  • What is confidence?
  • What can affect confidence and self-esteem?

We also looked at ways to build confidence and self-esteem?

  • Be kind to yourself
  • Look after yourself
  • Focus on the positives
  • Spend time with people
  • Learn to assert yourself
  • Do things you enjoy
  • Act confident, event when you don’t feel it
  • Try something new
  • Know your limits and don’t push yourself too hard.

We know you have busy schedules and sometimes may not have the time to attend our sessions, that’s why we wanted to make sure you don’t miss out. We’ve provided the content for you to download here.
