CODE were pleased to give a warm welcome to Unitemps (the University owned employment service) who set up shop on Wednesday 11th April to offer guidance to our 1000 students on finding full time and part time temporary work within the University and also with local Leicester business’s – including CODE who were also on hand to take applications for the summer work we have available.
Both Lynne Parker & Leanne Easom of Unitemps provided plenty of advice and free information for students to take away and booked many students in for a separate career sessions to help with everything from CV writing to creating the right impression at that all important first interview. They were understandably very busy and as a first event it was an undeniable success with CODE students demanding it is repeated before the end of term so they can get ahead in securing work after their exams.
Watch this space for an even bigger event in the early summer!
If you are a local business and want to get involved then let us know at info@codestudents.co.uk as we would love to work with you
