CODE were judged worthy winners of the highly prestigious RESI Awards 2017 organised by Property Week at the Grosvenor Hotel in London. The hugely popular event was hosted by the British comedian and actor Paul Chowdhry and featured the very best operators in the UK across a number of categories in the residential property market sector. CODE was originally shortlisted in the category of The Best Student Accommodation Operator in the UK for their Western Road development which competed alongside four other major national heavyweight players in the industry. As well as recognising that CODE really had “moved the dial” in terms of the student experience and shown plenty of innovation to stay ahead in a crowded sector the Judges also praised the high renewal rates as testimony to the excellent levels of customer satisfaction and the strong growth story.
CODE have recently significantly extended their Western Road development in Leicester with a further 283 beds, these were quick to sell out taking the total number of students due to live and study there to nearly 1000. Construction is also underway in Coventry whereby a significant investment will see a further 1117 studios being made available for the students of Coventry University and Warwick University with further expansion planned thereafter.
Jamie Lewis CODE’s Managing Director commented “It was such a huge achievement for our independent operation based here in Leicester to win the award ahead of the big national operators after previously being a finalist and I can only commend our team for constantly setting such high standards and raising the bar.”
